Female rats were injected with 0, 2.5 or 10 mg/kg ethylnitrosurea (ENU), which induces brain tumours. The offspring of the rats were irradiated with a continuous or a pulsed-wave 860 MHz frequency RF radiation for 6 hours per day, 5 days per week from 2 to up to 24 months of age. Some rats were sham-irradiated. There
was no significant difference that the radiation induced
cancer in any tissue in the rats. Nor was there any evidence
of promotion of cranial or spinal nerve or spinal cord tumours. |
