Chagnaud J-L, Veyret B (1999):

The authors exposed rats to GSM-modulated 900 MHz microwaves at two different powers, which corresponded to SARs of 0.075 and 0.270 W/kg respectively. The rats were exposed for 2h/day for 10 consecutive days. Control rats were sham-exposed.

Spleen lymphocytes were examined to see if molecules on the surface of the cells were altered in any way. No differences were found between irradiated rats and their controls. The authors also examined the lymphocytes to see if their ability to replicate had been altered by exposure to the microwaves. Again no difference was seen between exposed animals and controls.
